6:00 pm: Class with Rabbi Jenna 6:30 pm: Happy Hour 7:30 pm: Service and dancing Simchat Torah, which means “Rejoicing in Torah,” is the day when we gather to renew ourselves as we begin the cycle of reading from Genesis once again. Let loose and dance like no one’s watching as you enjoy live music, themed cocktails and mocktails, and lively dancing on I Street. Before the main event, choose from taking a class with Rabbi Jenna diving into the holiday and exploring the first few lines of the Torah, or get social and meet new people at our happy hour. Class: Make it Make Sense On Simchat Torah, we read the very first lines of Torah and the story of creation – not making something out of nothing but rather creating order out of chaos – tohu va-vohu . In a world that at times feels too chaotic to comprehend, how can we continue to create meaningful and joyful experiences? Explore these big questions and more through a text study with Rabbi Jenna. Must be 21+ and present ID to attend. No one will be turned away from any of our programs due to lack of funds. For more information, please contact our Director of Jewish Life, Nathan .
